lineouts
Sideline ball contests
A lineout is a method of restarting play in rugby union after the ball goes out of bounds.
Players from each team line up perpendicular to the touchline while one team throws the ball in, and teammates lift each other to compete for the catch.
The plural lineouts refers to multiple instances: They dominated the lineouts in the second half.
