light rye
Mild rye loaf
Light rye is bread made with a smaller proportion of rye flour to wheat flour, producing a milder flavor and softer texture than darker rye varieties.
The "light" refers to the flour blend rather than color or calories: I'll have the pastrami on light rye.
It's the default rye bread at most American delis.
