lemonwood
Yellow-toned tropical tree
Lemonwood is any of several trees with pale, fine-grained wood or a citrus-like scent.
The name applies most often to a New Zealand tree (*Pittosporum eugenioides*) used in cabinetry, and to a tropical American tree (*Calycophyllum candidissimum*) valued for tool handles and archery bows.
The wood is hard, dense, and yellowish.
