legal mediation
Neutral dispute resolution
Legal mediation is a process where disputing parties meet with a neutral third party—the mediator—to negotiate a resolution outside of court.
Unlike a judge or arbitrator, the mediator doesn't impose a decision but facilitates communication and helps parties find common ground.
Mediation is typically faster, cheaper, and less adversarial than litigation: The divorce was settled through legal mediation rather than a trial.
