lain around

Lazed without purpose

To have lain around is to have spent time resting or lounging idly, doing little or nothing productive.

It's the past participle of "lie around," used with auxiliaries: I've just lain around all weekend, She had lain around the house for days.

The form is often avoided in casual speech, where "laid around" appears despite being technically incorrect.
