ladder match
Elevated prize wrestling
A ladder match is a professional wrestling match where a prize—usually a championship belt or contract—hangs above the ring and can only be retrieved by climbing a ladder.
Competitors use the ladders both as climbing tools and as weapons against opponents.
The stipulation creates dramatic moments as wrestlers race to climb while others try to stop them: The main event is a ladder match for the title.
