kickstands
Bicycle parking legs
A kickstand is a hinged metal bar attached to a bicycle or motorcycle that swings down to prop the vehicle upright when parked.
Without one, you'd have to lean the bike against something or lay it on its side.
The term occasionally extends to similar supports on other equipment: The keyboard has a kickstand on the back.
