instantaneousness
Happening right now
Instantaneousness is the quality of happening without any perceptible delay—the property of being instant.
The word is cumbersome and rarely used; most speakers prefer *immediacy* or simply restructure: The response was instant rather than The instantaneousness of the response.
When it does appear, it typically describes technological speed or the absence of lag time.
