insolubilities
States resisting dissolution
Insolubilities are things that cannot be dissolved or solved.
In chemistry, insolubilities refer to substances that won't dissolve in a particular liquid: the insolubilities ofite calcium carbonate in water.
More abstractly, they're problems or difficulties that resist resolution: The negotiators faced the insolubilities of competing territorial claims.
