input delay
Controller reaction time
Input delay is the time between a user's action—pressing a button, moving a mouse—and the system's response.
In gaming, even small input delays feel sluggish and can mean the difference between victory and defeat: This TV has terrible input delay.
Also called input lag.
The term applies to any interface where responsiveness matters.
