in transit
Between departure, arrival
In transit describes something that is currently being transported from one place to another but has not yet arrived at its destination.
The phrase applies to packages, shipments, passengers, or any goods moving through a delivery or travel system.
Your order is in transit and should arrive by Thursday.
When something is in transit, it occupies a liminal state—no longer at the origin but not yet at the endpoint.
