human review
Manual quality check
Human review is examination or evaluation by a person rather than an automated system.
The term emerged with artificial intelligence and algorithmic decision-making, where certain cases get flagged for human review when machines can't handle them confidently: The application was sent for human review after the algorithm flagged inconsistencies.
It implies judgment, nuance, or accountability that automation can't provide.
