hot hands
Warm grip condition
Hot hands refers to a streak of success, especially in basketball, where a player seems unable to miss: She's got hot hands tonight—four three-pointers in a row.
The concept extends to gambling, trading, or any situation where someone appears to be on a lucky run.
Whether hot hands represent genuine momentum or statistical illusion remains debated.
