honorary members
Members without duties
Honorary members are people granted membership in an organization as a distinction or honor rather than through the usual qualifications or dues.
The title recognizes achievement, service, or prestige: The society named her an honorary member for her contributions to the field.
Honorary members typically enjoy the recognition without the obligations—or sometimes the full privileges—of regular membership.
