holiday edition
Special Christmas release
A holiday edition is a special version of a product released to coincide with a seasonal celebration, typically Christmas.
Publishers release holiday editions of magazines with gift guides and festive content.
Retailers offer holiday editions of foods, beverages, and consumer goods in themed packaging: the holiday edition of their peppermint latte, a holiday edition gift set.
The term implies limited availability and seasonal appeal.
