headmasters
Private school leaders
Headmasters is the plural of headmaster, the principal or chief administrator of a school, especially a private or preparatory school.
The term carries British and old-fashioned connotations in American English: The headmasters of elite boarding schools gathered for their annual conference.
The female equivalent is headmistress, though headmaster now often applies regardless of gender.
