hard-wired
Permanently connected circuits
Hard-wired describes electrical or electronic connections that are physically built in rather than adjustable or programmable: The circuit is hard-wired to the power supply.
By extension, hard-wired means innate or deeply ingrained, as if part of someone's fundamental makeup: Humans seem hard-wired for language acquisition.
The figurative sense suggests behavior or traits that can't easily be changed.
