hallelujahs
Cries of worship
Hallelujahs is the plural of hallelujah, an exclamation of praise or thanksgiving derived from Hebrew, meaning "praise God." The word appears frequently in religious worship, hymns, and choral music—Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" being the most famous example.
Extended beyond religion, hallelujahs express relief or celebration: There were hallelujahs all around when the project finally finished.
