gutful

Fed up amount

A gutful is as much as can be held—originally in the stomach, now usually in one's tolerance.

To have a gutful of something is to have endured all you can stand: I've had a gutful of his excuses.

Primarily British and Australian, the word carries blunt, fed-up force.
