graylings
Spotted freshwater fish
Graylings are freshwater fish of the salmon family, prized by anglers for their beauty and the challenge they present.
They have large, sail-like dorsal fins and thrive in cold, clear rivers across the Northern Hemisphere.
Grayling also names a group of brown butterflies with eyespots on their wings.
We caught several graylings in the mountain stream.
