girl band
All-women musical act
A girl band is a pop music group composed entirely of young women, typically featuring choreographed performances and vocal harmonies rather than members playing instruments.
The term emerged in the 1990s with acts like the Spice Girls and Destiny's Child: Every girl band needs a distinct personality for each member.
