get in on the act
Become involved too
Get in on the act is to join an activity others have already started, especially one that looks profitable or exciting.
The phrase often carries a hint of opportunism—jumping in once success seems assured: Once the startup took off, every venture capitalist wanted to get in on the act.
It can also simply mean participating: The whole family got in on the act decorating the house.
