want in
Desire to join
Want in means to desire entry or inclusion.
You might want in to a locked room, or want in on a deal that sounds profitable: I heard you're starting a business—I want in.
The opposite is want out.
Both phrases are informal but standard.
The dog wants in suggests an animal signaling its wish to enter.
