Gel polish is a nail lacquer that cures under ultraviolet or LED light to form a hard, glossy finish.
Unlike regular nail polish, which air-dries and chips within days, gel polish bonds to the nail and can last two to three weeks: I get gel polish because it doesn't chip at the gym.
Removal typically requires soaking in acetone.
