garden therapy
Planting for wellness
Garden therapy is the use of gardening activities—planting, weeding, harvesting—as a form of physical rehabilitation or mental health treatment.
The practice combines gentle exercise with the psychological benefits of nurturing living things and being outdoors: The veterans' hospital started a garden therapy program.
Also called horticultural therapy.
