game preserve
Protected hunting grounds
A game preserve is an area of land where wild animals are protected from hunting, or where they're maintained specifically for regulated hunting.
The term applies both to conservation refuges and to private estates stocked with game birds or deer for sport: The wealthy industrialist kept a game preserve in Scotland.
