forecheckers
Zone-entering puck pursuers
Forecheckers are hockey players who apply pressure in the offensive zone, pursuing the puck before the opposing team can organize a breakout.
Forechecking is an aggressive defensive tactic—attacking where the other team controls the puck rather than retreating: Their forecheckers forced a turnover behind the net.
