focus time
Deep work period
Focus time is a designated period for concentrated, uninterrupted work on a single task.
The term emerged from workplace productivity culture, where calendars are blocked off to protect against meetings and distractions: I have focus time from 2 to 4, so I won't be checking messages.
The concept treats sustained attention as a finite resource requiring deliberate protection.
