first in first out
Sequential processing order
First in first out describes a system where items are processed in the order they arrived—the earliest entry leaves first.
In inventory management, it means selling oldest stock before newer stock.
In computing, it's a queue structure: data enters one end and exits the other.
Often abbreviated FIFO.
The warehouse operates on a first in first out basis.
