fast talkers
Glib silver tongues
Fast talkers are people who speak rapidly and persuasively, often with the implication of deception or manipulation.
The speed itself isn't the point—a fast talker uses charm and verbal dexterity to overwhelm resistance before you can think critically: Don't trust him, he's a fast talker.
The term carries suspicion of salespeople, con artists, and anyone whose smooth patter seems designed to separate you from your money or judgment.
