extreme obesity
Dangerously excessive weight
Extreme obesity is a medical classification for body weight far exceeding healthy ranges, typically defined as a body mass index of 40 or higher.
The term appears in clinical contexts where standard "obese" doesn't capture the severity: Extreme obesity increases the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
Also called morbid obesity or class III obesity.
