execrations
Spoken hateful condemnations
Execrations are curses or denunciations—expressions of intense loathing or condemnation.
The word carries a formal, almost biblical weight: The prophet hurled execrations at the unbelievers.
An execration can also be something utterly detested: That policy was an execration to everyone who valued fairness.
The singular execration is more common.
