elephant dung
Safari trail marker
Elephant dung is the feces of elephants—large, fibrous droppings that can weigh several pounds each.
Because elephants digest plant matter inefficiently, their dung contains seeds and unprocessed fiber, making it ecologically significant for seed dispersal and soil enrichment.
It's also used in some regions for papermaking and as fuel: The villagers dried elephant dung for cooking fires.
