Newspaper commentary portion
An editorial segment is a portion of a broadcast or publication that presents opinion rather than straight news reporting.
On television or radio news programs, the editorial segment is where the station or a commentator offers commentary on current events: We'll be right back after this editorial segment.
The term distinguishes opinionated content from objective journalism within the same program.
