drug rash
Pill-induced skin irritation
A drug rash is a skin reaction caused by medication—redness, bumps, hives, or blistering that appears after taking a drug.
The rash may develop within hours or weeks of starting treatment: The antibiotic gave her a drug rash across her torso.
Some drug rashes are mild and resolve when the medication stops; others signal serious allergic reactions requiring immediate care.
