drop shipper
Orderless warehouse merchant
A drop shipper is a retailer who doesn't keep products in stock but instead transfers customer orders directly to a manufacturer or wholesaler, who ships to the customer.
The drop shipper profits from the markup without handling inventory: She runs her online store as a drop shipper, never touching the products she sells.
The model is popular in e-commerce, though it can mean longer shipping times and less quality control.
