double stroke

Two quick strikes

A double stroke is a drumming technique where two rapid consecutive hits are made with one hand before alternating to the other, forming the basis of the double stroke roll.

In calligraphy and typography, a double stroke refers to a letter form drawn with two parallel lines rather than a single line, as in the symbols for certain currencies (€, ₩) or in blackboard bold mathematical notation (ℝ, ℤ).
