double or nothing
All-or-zero bet
Double or nothing is a wager where the loser of a previous bet can risk what they owe on another chance—winning erases the debt entirely, losing doubles it.
The phrase extends to any high-stakes gamble with only two outcomes: I went double or nothing on the last hand and lost everything.
Also called double or quits.
