double-struck

Outlined letter style

Double-struck describes a typographic style where letters appear as outlines with a vertical line through them, as if struck twice with a slight offset.

The style is most familiar from mathematical notation, where double-struck letters represent specific number sets: ℕ for natural numbers, ℤ for integers, ℝ for real numbers.

Also called blackboard bold because mathematicians drew letters this way on chalkboards to distinguish them from regular variables.
