doodlers
Margin sketch makers
Doodlers are people who doodle—who draw absent-minded sketches, often while their attention is elsewhere.
Someone scribbling in the margins during a meeting or on a notepad during a phone call is a doodler.
The term carries no judgment; doodling may aid concentration or simply pass time: The conference room was full of doodlers by hour three.
