doodah

Whatchamacallit, basically

Doodah is a placeholder word for something whose name you can't recall or don't bother to specify—similar to thingamajig or whatchamacallit: Hand me that doodah over there.

In British slang, all of a doodah means flustered or agitated.

The word also appears in the minstrel song refrain "Camptown Races": Doo-dah, doo-dah.
