gubbins

Bits and bobs

Gubbins is British slang for miscellaneous stuff, gadgets, or bits and pieces—especially mechanical parts or equipment whose proper names you don't know or can't be bothered to use: What's all this gubbins on the kitchen table?

It can also mean the internal workings of something: I don't understand the gubbins of how it works.

The word carries a dismissive tone, suggesting the items are unimportant or slightly annoying clutter.
