dog man
Canine caretaker professionally
A dog man is someone deeply involved with dogs—a breeder, trainer, handler, or simply an enthusiast whose life centers on canines.
The term often appears in hunting and working dog contexts: He was a dog man his whole life, raising hounds for the county hunt.
It can also mean a man who prefers dogs to cats, as in the perennial dogs-versus-cats debate.
