distracted boyfriend
Attention pulled away
Distracted boyfriend refers to a meme format showing a man turning to look at another woman while his girlfriend looks on disapprovingly.
The image, from a stock photo series, became a template for illustrating divided attention, temptation, or preferring something new over something familiar: Me looking at another streaming service while my current subscription watches in betrayal.
The format works for any situation where someone is drawn to an alternative.
