disrobement
Taking clothes off
Disrobement is the act of removing clothing, especially in a formal or ceremonial context.
The word carries a slightly literary or euphemistic quality compared to simply undressing: The disrobement of the king after the coronation followed strict protocol.
It can also refer to being stripped of official vestments or robes of office.
