dirty magazine

A dirty magazine is a publication containing sexually explicit photographs or content, typically sold at newsstands or adult shops.

The term is somewhat dated, evoking an era when pornography circulated primarily in print: He kept a stack of dirty magazines under his bed.

Now largely displaced by internet pornography.
