departure lounge
Pre-flight waiting room
A departure lounge is the waiting area in an airport where passengers sit after passing through security, before boarding their flight.
It typically contains seating, shops, restaurants, and gate information displays.
We grabbed coffee in the departure lounge while waiting for our flight to board.
