dental screening
Oral health exam
Dental screening is a basic examination of teeth and gums to identify potential problems—cavities, gum disease, oral cancer—before they become serious.
Unlike a full dental exam, screenings are quick assessments often conducted at schools, health fairs, or community clinics: The kids get a dental screening every fall.
A screening flags issues that need follow-up care but doesn't include treatment.
