well visit
Routine health screening
A well visit is a routine medical checkup when you're not sick—preventive care to monitor health, update vaccinations, and catch problems early.
The term appears most often in pediatric care, where children have scheduled well visits at regular intervals: The baby's nine-month well visit is next week.
Also called a well-child visit or wellness visit.
