deleted footage
Removed film material
Deleted footage is film or video material that was shot but cut from the final version of a movie, television show, or other production.
Scenes get deleted for many reasons—pacing, runtime constraints, or creative decisions made in editing.
Deleted scenes often resurface as bonus content on home video releases: The DVD includes twenty minutes of deleted footage.
The term extends to any recorded material excluded from a finished work.
